Abuse Management Policies
At C1V Hosting, we are dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all users. Our Abuse Management Policies are designed to ensure that our services are not used for malicious, illegal, or disruptive activities. These policies apply to all customers and cover various types of abusive activities.
1. What is Considered Abuse?
Abuse refers to any action that violates our terms of service or negatively impacts the stability and integrity of our infrastructure and other customers. Examples include:
- Spamming: Sending unsolicited emails, messages, or bulk communications.
- Network Attacks: Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities or launch DDoS attacks.
- Illegal Content: Hosting or distributing content that is illegal, including copyrighted material or harmful software.
- Harassment and Misuse: Engaging in abusive behavior toward other users or customers, including threats or harassment.
2. How We Handle Abuse Reports
When we receive an abuse report, we will conduct a thorough investigation to verify the validity of the claim. Based on our findings, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Suspension or Termination of Services: If the abusive activity is confirmed, we may suspend or terminate the services associated with the offending account.
- Warning: For less severe violations, a warning may be issued to remind the customer of our policies and expectations.
- Legal Action: In cases of illegal activity, we may involve law enforcement authorities to take appropriate legal action.
3. Customer Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their account and services are not used for abusive purposes. Customers should:
- Regularly monitor their services to ensure compliance with our policies.
- Report any suspicious activity immediately to our support team.
- Take action to secure their services, such as changing passwords or securing their networks.
4. Preventing Abuse
We encourage all customers to follow best practices for security, including:
